This Website Privacy Policy explains how Orbideft (Private) Limited ("Orbideft", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal information when you visit orbideft.com, contact us through the website, or communicate with us about our services. This policy applies to the Orbideft corporate website. Products and services operated by Orbideft may have their own privacy policies. For example, use of the Kolinn mobile application is governed by the separate Kolinn Privacy Policy.
Who We Are
Orbideft (Private) Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Registered address: 10.04 West Wing, Pioneer House Building, 8th Ave, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
Privacy and support email: systems@orbideft.com
Information We May Collect
2.1 Information you send to us
When you contact us by email, we may receive:
- your name;
- your email address, telephone number, company name or other contact details you choose to provide;
- the contents of your message and any attachments; and
- related communication records.
The contact feature on our website prepares an email draft on your device. The website itself does not submit the message to, or store it on, an Orbideft website database. If you choose to send the email, your email provider transmits it to us and we process it as an ordinary business enquiry.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or other unnecessary sensitive information by email.
2.2 Technical and usage information
When you visit the website, our hosting, network or security providers may automatically process limited technical information, such as:
- your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- browser and device type;
- operating system;
- pages or files requested;
- date and time of a request;
- referring page, where provided by your browser; and
- error, diagnostic and security-event information.
This information is generally contained in routine server or security logs and is used to operate, troubleshoot and protect the website. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about visitors.
How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- provide information about our business, products and services;
- prepare proposals or take steps requested before entering into a contract;
- provide and support services where you become a client;
- operate, maintain, troubleshoot and secure the website;
- prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
- maintain appropriate business and legal records; and
- comply with applicable laws, lawful requests and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
International Processing
Some hosting, email or technology service providers may process information outside Zimbabwe. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and applicable law.
How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, protecting the website and meeting legal or regulatory obligations.
The retention period for an enquiry depends on its nature and whether it develops into a client or business relationship. Routine technical logs are retained according to operational, security and hosting requirements and are deleted or overwritten when no longer needed, subject to applicable legal obligations.
Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No website, email system or Internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
- provide access to that information;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete information that we no longer need or are not legally required to retain;
- object to, or request a restriction on, certain processing; or
- withdraw consent where processing depends on your consent.
To make a request, email systems@orbideft.com. Please describe your request clearly. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect personal information from unauthorised disclosure. Some rights may be limited where we must retain information to meet legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, protect security or exercise other lawful rights.
You may also raise a concern with the competent data-protection authority where you believe your information has been handled unlawfully.
Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may link to websites or services operated by other organisations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Orbideft is not responsible for how those third parties handle information. We encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing personal information.
Children's Privacy
The Orbideft corporate website is intended for a general business audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through the website, contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our website, services or legal obligations change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate or legally required.
